Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Association of Hydroelectric Power Plant Industry Entrepreneurs (HESİAD)

The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Association of Hydroelectric Power Plant Industry Entrepreneurs (HESİAD) was held on February 14, 2024, in Ankara.

During the General Assembly, Fahrettin Arman, who previously served as president and contributed significantly to HESİAD for many years, was awarded the title of “Honorary President.” It was also decided to change the name of the association to "Association of Hydroelectric Industry Entrepreneurs."

To create a more inclusive management board, the total number of full and alternate board members was increased to 14, with 7 members assigned as full and 7 as alternate board members. New audit committee members were also appointed during the meeting.

To increase female representation in HESİAD's management, there are a total of four female members among the full and alternate board members, including the association president, Elvan Tuğsuz Güven.

The General Assembly established five working groups to encourage HESİAD members to take a more active role. Accordingly, within HESİAD, the following working groups have been formed:

Hybrid Power Plants

Operational Challenges

Basin Management

New Investments and Pumped Storage Plants

Communication and Member Acquisition

These working groups will implement activities aimed at solving industry problems and meeting expectations.
